Citizens
Advisory Committee
The Clark
County-Springfield Transportation Coordinating Committee (TCC) is
the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) with a focus on
transportation in Clark County. The TCC is Clark County’s forum for
cooperative transportation decision-making. Its policy board is
composed of local elected and appointed officials, transportation
professionals, and citizen members. The TCC reviews and approves
plans and programs involving expenditures of federal and state
transportation funds in Clark County.
In an effort to
increase public participation, the TCC has created the
Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). The responsibility of the CAC
will be to review and report on activities of interest to the TCC
and provide citizen input into the planning process. Some examples
of Citizens Advisory Committee participation include:
-
Serve as a
forum for community involvement
-
Recommend policies to the TCC
-
Evaluate
and comment on TCC studies, plans, and reports
-
Develop
and promote cooperation with other citizen action groups
